One needs to realise that the military have rather different procurement
requirements. If you're on a tight budget and need a boot which will do
its stuff in a hot, dry desert as well as a swamp and you need to buy
100,000 pairs then that makes for a rather different evaluation job than
a person getting boots for their particular situation, and maybe another

We have a theater here that charges $2, and only $1 on Tuesdays. It is
the only theater where we actually buy popcorn. We don't go to that
many movies, but we check to see what is playing there. I see very few
movies at full price. I did see Avatar, in 3D Imax. That was cool.
I probably only see 2-3 movies per year.

Thought the same thing until people informed me of how these things
work. There are a couple of options unless you have a Prius.
Install a gas cut-off valve, or carry a loaded 38 to shoot the damn
thing into submission. I'm thinking seriously about only buying
antique cars from now on.
