map not loading

Hello, my map migrating to google app engine quit loading after an
update. Maybe you can look and see what I'm doing wrong: [link]

I can go back to earlier version with GAE where it works while
comparing what the matter is with the updated new deployment is
difficult.

BallonStyle ExtendedData not displaying

I am working on the California Recovery site and we use Google maps
api v2 to display a map of California with overlays for Assembly,
Senate, Congressional Districts and Counties. Sometime in the last 24
hours the contents of the BalloonStyle stopped rendering and the only
content displayed on the Balloon is the name.

looking at the KML file it seems the "thumbnail" image for the icon is
the same as the image displayed in the infowindow, which means
google's servers will be resizing the 448x336 images to the icon size
of 32x32. Have you tried producing the thumbnails on your server?

I guess that makes sense. I had inherited legacy code that appeared
to not be working and I was trying to fix it. Apparently, it wasn't
ever working properly. Thanks for the help

Have you tried using the <nobr>...</nobr> element to contain the text
you don't want to break?

Here is some more detail that I forgot to include. I am using the
googleMapsMarkerManager library for the labels. And the posting guidlines
say to post OS etc, so here it goes:
Server:
Win2003
IIS
Client:
Windows XP
IE 7 and 8

I am trying to display Celsius and Fahrenheit temps in a label next to
a marker. The trouble is that when I put the degree symbol into the
label, the text wraps below the white box right after the symbol (only

That shows you how things are supposed to be overlayed.

However... Chrome, Firefox and IE all handle overlays/z-index's
differently.

Firefox ignores overlay layer if z-index overrides it.

The available zoom levels only come in integer values ; the zoom is
not infinitely variable to give you a map exactly fitting 'visible',
so what you get is a map at the height/width you specified that
includes at least 'visible'.

It's too bad Google didn't include a client-side parsing utility.
This seems to be a whole app in itself.
